Kent and I usually go to Whistler every winter for a weekend… it’s one of our traditions. We love the skiing, the hot tubbing and the snow-capped mountains. This year (because we scrapped our bike-across-Europe-trip due to the pregnancy) we decided to hit Whistler in the summer! I highly recommend it…
We rented a condo right in the village, parked our car and never used it once during the 5 days. We had a gorgeous view from our balcony…
Each day we would sleep in, eat, and then head out on our bikes to explore the free trails!
After a couple of days, our friend Steph joined us. Steph always makes everything more fun… like the time she and Kent jumped into the sub-zero waters of a glacier lake. It came out sounding something like this…
For all you doubters out there, yes, I jumped in too! Then it was back in the saddle…
We had to hold some Olympic trial events too:
Unfortunately, sometimes our tenacity led to injuries…
And our pride led to comparing said injuries.
But we always had fun exploring the beauty of the whole area.
We even stopped to check out the wildlife…
Then we would head back to the village for some pool time at the condo…
Followed by shopping – Kent’s favourite!
And then out for dinner…
All in all an awesome vacation!
