After requests from friends and family – near and far – to see the growing baby bump and other such things, Kent set me up with a blog!
With all the “free time” I’m gonna have on maternity leave, I plan to keep you in the loop on our lives – hope you like it!
Our most recent sadness is that my dad passed away on October 31, 2009. After a 25-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease, he finally found peace and rest. Kent and I flew home to be at the funeral and support my mom.
Highlights of the week were having friends & family come from Indiana, Montreal, Toronto, London, Winnipeg and even Nairobi! It is very surreal to celebrate with so many people you love while also grieving such a deep, raw loss. But we made it through. My mom is very strong. And I couldn’t have done it without Kent.
