My first real summer getaway was with my friend Greta. She is a teacher in Vancouver so she can get away during the week! We have had lots of adventures together – hiking, snowshoeing, winter camping, kayaking… but since I was 5 months pregnant my adventure capacity was at a low. But we had a great time exploring Sechelt, staying with a friend and swimming in the ocean.

Skookumchuk Narrows… apparently kayakers love this haven for weird eddys and such… we didn’t see any that day. The rushing water was amazing though… watch for yourself and be mesmerized!
All in all, a fantastic weekend!
